Her interview preparation consult was extremely pivotal in that she prepared me for many workplace-based questions that we as IMGs are not used to. Dr Laura is highly professional and will meet your demands and deadlines effectively. Her guidance is invaluable to all doctors who wish to enter the Australian healthcare system. I wish to thank Laura immensely for helping me achieve what was unimaginable. I was able to secure an HMO position in a leading metropolitan hospital. Laura helped me right from the beginning by editing both my job-seeking and AHPRA format CVs, addressing selection criteria, interview coaching, and finally preparing the AHPRA paperwork. Also, her IMG group info sessions gave me insight into approaching employers here and what to expect as a new HMO entering the Australian healthcare system. Her professional attitude and comradeship is commendable. She’s very patient and friendly and radiates positivity. Just talking to Laura alleviated my anxiety and boosted my confidence.

I would highly recommend her services to anyone entering the Australian healthcare system. Being a local graduate and having worked at local hospitals, she has a wealth of knowledge about how the system works here and I feel she’s the right person to take advice from among the numerous people offering help to IMGs because her services are individualised, which is very important to stand out from the thousands of applicants.

I wish Laura success in her future endeavours.

The task of applying for registration was daunting for me.  Partly because presenting facts to the Board in the language and format they require doesn't come naturally to me, which seems to be not an uncommon problem amongst IMGs. Another reason was the horror stories I had heard (and witnessed in a few cases) about people who had applied but had their application stuck or delayed for something which was avoidable, such as including/omitting information in the application, or answering a point differently to what was required.  These hold-ups are the last thing one wants while walking the final step of their long struggle with the system.

The information on the Board's website didn't help much, if at all, and only confused me more. I wished to understand exactly what was required at each point and the way to present all the skills and experience I had in a language and manner that would present my case clearly to the Board. Whilst my training may not be so different to a local graduate, clear presentation of the facts is what it ultimately comes down to. The quest to find somebody to assist me, led me to Laura.

There are no standard answers to these problems. Everyone has different circumstances and thus each application is different. It has to be individualised and one can't do something just because another person was successful doing the same thing. Fortunately for me, Laura had the answers to my conundrums. Having being part of the system from close, she knows the expectations and requirements. And having completed medical training in Australia, she is well aware of the standards here and can impart that knowledge to her clients.

Taking advice from a specialist pays off, saves loads of time and unnecessary effort. But it's not only that: the peace of mind that comes from knowing you did your best to avoid any hiatus or ambiguity in your application mattered a lot to me, and seeking advice from Laura gave me that peace of mind.

I would like to thank Dr Laura for providing me with invaluable advice and consultation in securing a job as a Medical Officer in a regional hospital in Victoria. Dr Laura possesses a thorough understanding of the medical system and especially what is required from an IMG to successfully integrate into the Australian medical system. Dr Laura helped me immensely in every step of the process from the resume preparation to the actual interview preparation for the job.

Another essential service Dr Laura offers is the consultation regarding the provisional registration process with AHPRA. I initially found it very daunting and stressful as you have to prepare documents based on their guidelines and it is very important that you do this correctly to avoid any delays with the registration process. With Dr Laura’s help, I was able to get my provisional registration in a very short time and I am truly grateful for her help.

Most importantly, Dr Laura is highly professional and takes huge pride in her work. She is willing to go the extra mile to help you out in every way possible. I would highly recommend the services of Dr Laura and I wish her all the best.
